Kranshoek Coastal Hiking Trail
The Kranshoek Coastal Hiking Trail is an outstanding day trail for the seasoned hiker. A circular walk, which traverses the amazing coastal scenery of the Garden Route. The full walk of 2 to 5 hours (dependent on whether the 3km or 9km route is taken), is fairly tough, especially in hot weather, and demands a descent and ascent of 200 meters.
The walk passes through prime examples of high forest, crosses sections of coastal Fynbos and takes the hiker along some breathtaking natural scenery along a cliff coast.
Some of the special features to look out for on this hike:
- A chance to spot the elusive Cape Clawless Otter.
- Whale watching opportunities aplenty – especially in season, from July to September.
