Bumper Street Collection For PAWS
PAWS is so grateful to everyone for helping us to pay tribute to Madiba during our street collection on Friday, 18th July.
We had the most wonderful warm response from the Plett community who gave so generously that it enabled us to collect the record sum of R10 333 on the day!
In addition to the many people who gave their 67 minutes for Madiba to work for PAWS, we have to express our sincere thanks to the following for their invaluable support: The Market Square and Melville’s Centre for allowing us to collect on their premises; all the Plett businesses outside of which we collected, the Bitou Municipality for their permission, the Traffic Department for their assistance, What’s New for their ongoing support and last, but not least, all of you who donated in such a cheerful manner!
Our collectors reported that they really enjoyed interacting with the positive Plett Community. Our PAWS kennels are also grateful to a number of volunteers who spent their 67 minutes working with our resident animals.
This collection has made an important contribution to the substantial monthly expenses associated with providing a primary health care service to the neglected animals of Bitou.
