Keurbooms Beach, Picnic Rocks and Arch Rocks
These fishing spots are centered around the Keurbooms Beach area of Plettenberg Bay. Keurbooms beach (10) is a favorite spot for Galjoen, Shad and Blacktail in winter and Leervis, White Steenbras (Pignose Grunter) and especially Kob in summer and autumn.
Incoming tide, especially in the early morning or evening are the best times to fish. There is a parking spot just above the beach for easy access.
Picnic Rocks (11) afford a high vantage point from which to cast. Park at the end of the Keurboomsstrand road in the public parking area and walk along the boardwalk to the left for these spots.
Picnic Rocks are directly in front of the restaurant and Arch Rocks are further along the beach and is best accessed at low tide.
These rocky areas are good for White Musselcracker and Kob and in the sandy areas between the rocks, White Steenbras are caught. Picnic Rocks yields Galjoen in winter.
