Plett Athletics Club Marathoning in Mossel Bay
Plett Athletics Club flew the Plett Flag high in Mossel Bay at the Petro SA Marathon and Half Marathon last weekend. All athletes ran strong. Petro SA isn’t the easiest of 42km marathons, but everyone enjoyed the run and stunning coastal route.
The weather was glorious and the event very well organised and sponsored. The start of the race was up above the camping grounds looking directly onto the ocean front, a super 180 degree views of the bay.
A Brydes whale came right into the shallows and gave runners a show a few minutes before the start gun went off at 7am, spectacular!!! Well done to all, the results were as follows:
ERIC NANGU: 3:19:51 42km
VUYANI VENTFOL: 3:49:15 42km
RENE VAN ZYL: 4:45:24 42km
CLAIRE BADENHORST: 4:24:18 42km
SIVUYILE QOLE: 1:21:52 21km
LISA BEHRENS: 2:02:20 21km
