Vic hamstrung at Cairnbrogie

What a great Plett Easter Games event – people really came from everywhere to enjoy our town! At Cairnbrogie, all athletes were lined up and ready to get started: myself, Mark Collins, and dark-horse Melikhaya Mzili, who represents Knysna in trail running.

I started well but 10km into the race, pulled a hamstring. I almost didn’t finish the race but managed a fourth place. Sadly, I could not even run the Kwano 10km the next Monday, so that was a sad ending for my Easter weekend.
