Grahamstown Kingpin busted – posing as a teenage girl online
Kingpin busted in Grahamstown – Thousands of children lured to preform sexual acts and filmed on chat rooms!
WMACA protestors, with our banners, will be at the Grahamstown Magistrate Court from 9am, Tuesday morning, 28 April 2015, ‘This is a first for our country – the first time the alleged kingpin, in other words web administrator has being caught, says Miranda Friedmann, WMACA Director.
53 year old, Antony Evans, named already by international media along with others linked to his website, was arrested in a joint raid by police and the US’s FBI.
Evans pretended to be a teenage girl, conning hundreds of child victims into performing sexual acts on themselves, which he recorded then streamed over the internet’, says Miranda, ‘he is facing charges of possession, manufacture and distribution and extradition to the US where sentencing is much tougher than here!’
We at WMACA demand that Evans be charged for every image he manufactured to ensure a maximum sentence.
The State MUST severely punish anyone out there viewing, possessing, distributing and manufacturing images of babies and children being raped’, says Miranda to set a precedent as a stern warning to other would be child sexual predators.
‘Parents and educators must engage children in discussions on the dangers of sexual predators on their social networks.’
WMACA will continue our protest campaign to ensure MAXIMUM penalties are prescribed by our laws and MAXIMUM direct prison sentences are given by the State.
