Robberg Xpress a great success!
The 2nd Kurland Brick Robberg Express Trail Run was hosted by Plett Athletics Club last Saturday 3rd October.
About 100 runners ranging from the ages of 8 to 62 took on the 10 km technical trail run or the scenic 5 km Shy Shark Fun Run.
The 1st male over the finish line was Dylan Van Wyk of Plett Athletics Club in an impressive time of 52.23 mins.
The 10 km route was a full clockwise lap of the peninsular including a loop around The Island.
2nd Male was Wayne from Sedgefield Striders running club in 56.22 mins and 3rd was Stef Le Roux a member of Pletts NSRI in 56.59 mins.
First Lady home was Lisil Grobler of Knysna Marathon Club in 1 hour 9 mins and 9 seconds.
On her tail just 31 seconds later was Annikie Botes also from KMC.
Young Robyn De Vries from Plett sped in to take 3rd place in 1 hour 26 mins.
All Robberg Express prize winners won vouchers from Plett Sports.
Due to the growing number of children joining the club a shorter, easier 5 km route called the Shy Shark was set, a half Robberg looping at Witsand.
The 3 top winners were Sebastian Brink, Henri Van Huysteen and Mathew Van Coller, a big well done to them.
