Plett Primary School’s International Food Festival
Friday evening was a buzz as Plett Primary School held their annual fundraiser – the International Food Festival.
Children, parents and teachers did an awesome job creatively decorating the Food hall, which displayed their delicious meals from around the world.
The grade R’s tuckshop stall did very well selling sweeties and refreshments.
We were treated to yummy baked pudding with custard and waffle slices dipped in caramel or chocolate on the Dessert Island stall managed by the grade 1s.
The grade 2’s sold delish USA Mini beef burgers and skinny fries, while the grade 3’s spoiled us with ITALY’s famous Spaghetti Bolognaise.
The grade 4’s did a great job with their traditional mouth-watering Thailand Thai Green Chicken Curry and the grade 5’s kept many tummies full with their traditional South African dishes – beef and vegetarian Boboties.
The grade 6’s Japanese vegetarian sushi was the flavour of the day and the grade 7’s had the easiest task of all, selling hot beverages and cake.
The evening was a great success as parents, families and friends were entertained endlessly. Parents in the Beer tent, kids on the go-cart track and little ones riding the pony.
