Knysna on Stage
‘Knysna on Stage’ will feature some of the best musicians Knysna has to offer, all performing on one stage on Friday 24 September, to celebrate National Heritage Day. The outdoor concert will take place at the Loerie Park Croquet Lawns between 1pm and 6pm (behind the Loerie Park sports fields). Music lovers are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and bring the whole family to enjoy a day in the sun.
The event is aimed at promoting local music, and will feature, amongst others, Brent Kozak who has just released his debut album; Mali & me who are currently working on their debut album; David Vermeulen, a well-known young gifted guitar player; The Bucket List, Knysna’s busiest party band; the Rolling Beats who play anything from Jazz to hiphop; Wendy Oldfield and Tigger Reunert who have both played locally and abroad, from soft rock through to the blues; local musician and music teacher Waldi; Peter the Greek and friends; Kaz David and friends; Beetles and Butterflys, acoustic guitar sounds; and The 3 Tenors, our own opera singers from Plettenberg Bay.
Ticket prices are R 60 for adults and R 30 for scholars. Tickets can be bought from various local outlets.
