Darling of South African screens, actress and producer Lika Berning is our ambassador for Plett Food & Film.
iKasi Media is a not for profit film production and training organisation based in rural Western Cape, South Africa. They offer skills development opportunities to aspiring filmmakers in remote areas by hosting training programs, workshops and CSI initiatives, matching raw untapped talent with industry expertise.
“The iKasi board consists of myself, Lika Berning, actress and film producer; Cindy Wilson Trollip who has many years of experience in the industry starting at the SABC and is currently office manager of Plett Tourism; Kirsty Gaillard, CEO of General Post, and producer at Five Star Media; Lamise Inglis, experienced Trainer and assessor in television and radio broadcasting who recently trained staff of ETV. Our customized program was designed and approved by Natalie Delport, qualified trainer assessor and moderator who has many years of experience kick-starting training providers.
iKasi Media is a Not for Profit Film and Television Training and Production Organisation (129-920-NPO), currently active in the Eden District.
The principal object of the organisation is to provide skills development, training and employment opportunities to young aspiring filmmakers, through educational enrichment programmes; workshops; on-set training and skills transfer programmes within the film industry, with particular concern for those who are unemployed, marginalised and disadvantaged. All our training is industry linked, equipping learners with skills to meet practical and current on the job requirements.”
