The Municipality adopted this vision with the realisation that as a local municipality we cannot succeed single-handedly in our quest to address issues such as poverty, job creation, housing, etc. Thus, the municipality recognises that development must happen in a spirit of cooperation and participation with all stakeholders.
In realising our limitations in the sphere of development and the consequent role of a developmental local government to provide all in needs, Drakenstein Municipality must focus on creating the conditions conducive to facilitating opportunities for appropriate development for and with the community.
