Why a Tobbogan? | Misty Mountain Toboggan
Why would anyone want to get into a small cart and hurtle at more than 45km/h down the 1.7km of track that is the Misty Mountain Toboggan?
One ride down the Misty Mountain Toboggan will show you exactly why. As you pick up speed and race around the corners, there isn’t a person alive that can’t help but giggle like a school girl on her first date, unless of course you are screaming like a school girl with a frog in her shoe.
It’s a fantastic mix of excitement and fear that gets the adrenalin pumping as the toboggan jerks around the sharp corners and accelerates down the steep sections that make you just want more and more, and rest assusred, your next ride is guaranteed to be your best!
But don’t take our word for it, go try it yourself. Situated between Sabie and Lydenburg on the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga, the toboggan has quickly beome one of the not to miss attractions in the area. Find out more
The Misty Mountain Toboggan is the brain child of Lisa and James Sheard, owners of Misty Mountain. After seeing a similar attraction on YouTube, they thought this would be such a unique activity on the Mpumalanga Panorama Route that they just could not resist building it.
After about two years of construction, the toboggan is now fully functional and with visitors streaming in to see what it’s all about, Lisa is already dreaming of more attractions to add to Misty Mountain.
