Milviforce needs your help to build a library for Woodhouse Orphanage
a Library for Woodhouse Orphanage
Milviforce Puma N4 Nelspruit, owned by Tshepiso Phosa, adopted an orphanage in Mataffin called Woodhouse Community Care Base. The home currently provides daily meals for 169 children in the community between the ages of 2 and 19. She wants to build a library for them and is busy with a big charity drive together with the Steval Puma rugby players.
Woodhouse Community Care Base is a registered NPO and consists of three departments: which is Woodhouse Community Care Base, Mataffin Community Crèche, and Mataffin Drop-in-Centre. Woodhouse’s main aim is to provide a feeding scheme to vulnerable children and the elderly, which Bundu Lodge assists with.
The children at the orphanage are either from child-headed homes and those who are unable to provide for their families because of unemployment. She does not believe in a “drop and goes”. This is why she made the decision to adopt the home.
Tshepiso is very committed to this house and she wants to provide the children with the best she can offer them, which is when she realised that there is a need for education and started the library fund raising initiative. Milviforce is the proud fuel sponsor for the Steval Pumas. She signed up with the Pumas in 2016 and the partnership has blossomed since. She also provide the “Man of the Match” from every home game at Mbombela stadium with a fuel voucher. This rugby team wanted to get involved and they’re growing their beards until end June to raise money. They are also encouraging their fans and the public to donate money or books to make this dream a reality.
One of their main objectives are is to educate the children about life skills and help them with homework. They provide sports activities and teach them about the prevention and spreading of HIV/AIDS and educate them about teen pregnancy. They encourage them to become the best they can be by having uplifting events and talks.
Tshepiso is very involved in uplifting the community and has recently partnered with Gsk8t this year to assist this company help keep troubled boys off the street by spreading the gospel through skateboarding. She sponsors them with fuel vouchers and some of their events.
Milviforce is challenging the community to bring all unwanted children’s books between ages of 2 and 19 to their petrol station so that it can be stacked in the library. They are still in need of some funds and if anyone wants to donate some money, they have a dedicated bank account for this charity drive.
“Being able to adopt this home and make a difference in some lives is a huge honour for me. It comes from my heart and I do what I can to make these kids’ lives a little better”, said Thsepiso Phosa, owner of Milviforce Puma N4.
Go and drop off all old or new books at Milviforce Puma N4 Nelspruit on the corner of N4 and Hardekool Street or if you want to make a monetary donation, that would be very welcome too.
