Nelspruit Floods | Aerial Photographs
With all the reports of flooding around Nelspruit doing the rounds ShowMe Nelspruit decided to call in the help of Bathawk Aviation owner, Andrew Pappas, to see what the current situation is.
Andrew and his team build Bathawk air crafts that are used for everything from transport and rhino protection to recreation and crop spraying. These nimble little flying machines are the ideal crafts to explore terrain and proved super efficient in ascertaining the severity of flooding around Nelspruit.
From the start of the flight it was already clear that the Crocodile River has flooded its banks in just about every direction and the water has left a trail of destruction to crops and roads.
Probably the most dramatic scene was that of the Cascades Falls in the Lowveld National Botanical garden where the Nels River and the Crocodile River join.

With so much water around, the Lowveld waterfalls should be a spectacular sight to see.
