Charity pie competition

It is time again for the Garden Route Pie Competition, hosted by the Lions Club, on 8 October, at Timberlake.

The customary charity pie auction and prize giving will also take place on the same day. The categories for this year are: Best Savoury Pie, Best Sweet Pie and best Kiddies Pie.

Join the fun by attending the charity pie auction to support the Lions Club charities and celebrate Slow Food and homemade pies.

Entry forms and details about the competition and pie auction can be viewed at www.timberlakeorganic.co.za or contact Gerda on 072 9110 441. The winning entry in each category will receive a prize hamper and a floating trophy. The pie auction will take place from 12:00 and prize giving will be held at 14:00.

Last years judging panel consisted of serious local foodies: Anne Hadley, Bruce Gates, and Craig Milne.

Timberlake is situated adjacent to the N2 between Wilderness and Sedgefield.
