Sedgefield Misfit Colour Run Catapults
Sedgefield turned up the colour on Good Friday, the 14th of April 2017, which started off at the Steam Whistle Stop.
The misfit Colour Run is also known as a festival of love and allows participants the novelty of being splashed with coloured powder made from food-grade corn starch as they run through stations along the 3.5km route.
Locals and visitors had fun with family and friends from the beginning till the end. First they were treated to a colouful dance performed by the children who were participating and then they were showered with some colour to set the mood.
Once the race was completed participants were catapulted with colours and Easter eggs. Finally the best dressed outfits were chosen and then event organiser, Bronwyn Lloyd proceeded with the lucky draws and prizes that were definitely well received.
Portion of the proceeds went to feeding the hungry in support of Meals on Wheels. Thank you Sedgefield for the amazingly colourful experience!
