Knysna Literary Festival 2017 – Thank You
To all who participated in, attended and contributed to the 8th annual Knysna Literary Festival hosted by Pam Golding Properties Knysna, a huge thank you!
From engaging and mingling with authors while sipping local wine and experiencing Knysna’s very own Project Bar, Conrad Pezula Hotel and Spa, The Turbine Boutique Hotel as well as some of our most exclusive private real estate, the Knysna Literary Festival provided guests with a unique literary “experience.”
Imaginations took flight as the diverse programme with its panel discussions and interactive talks and presentations touched on current affairs, politics, history and adventure. There was even a dash of cuisine – part of the sell-out Delicious Word Journey-, wine tastings and other treats.
The 2017 event was an outstanding success, and this success was made possible by the enthusiastic participation of all the invited authors as well as the generous support of both Knysna literary lovers and visitors alike.
Festival founder Ling Dobson’s mission to develop Knysna’s literary future saw hundreds of young local learners attending the Children’s Theatre and participating in the Young Writers Awards and creative writing workshops.
We are so grateful for the wonderful and encouraging support for the Young Writers Competition from local schools and their students. We had an outstanding response of 300 entries. Congratulations to all the winners:
Finally, a sincere and special thank you to all our sponsors for their much appreciated support:
