Report Back From The Stanford Stumble
Report Back From The Stanford Stumble
Each year the Stanford Hills Wine Estate hosts an event called the Stanford Stumble. Visitors have he chance to dress up in whatever they choose and come and take part in a walk/run through the vineyards of Stanford.
The gimmick and what makes it such an attraction is apart from the the fun, fundraising, beauty and adventure, all water points are replaced with wine from neighboring wine estates.
Yet there is a bigger initiative taking place and why taking part it so important. The reason is that each entry fee is all given to the Butterfly Foundation. The foundation ensures the upliftment of the people and community of Stanford. Last year funds went towards helping a little boy with his eyesight.
This year the whopping R31 278 raised will go towards a care facility in Stanford to help those with special needs, giving them the care and all that they need.
So, take note and be sure to come and join in all the fun at next years Stanford Stumble!
