Breaking News: High Speed Chase Ends In Crash

Armed men hijacked a truck loaded with cigarettes on Thursday morning 31 July in Zwelihle.
According to the Hermanus Police, the men then drove with the truck to a quiet street near Camphill in the Hemel-en-Aarde-Valley where the robbers unloaded the cigarettes and cash into at least three awaiting vehicles.
One of the getaway vehicles was then driven in the direction of Hermanus where a high speed chase between police and the robbers continued.
The vehicle then crashed into a police bakkie on the R43 near the Sandbaai intersection. Five suspects were arrested on the scene.
The road into town was closed to traffic while police officials continued their investigation.
