DIY Christmas Chalkboard Wreath
Holiday’s are the best time to create and make unique and spectacular Christmas decorations. With this chalkboard wreath there is no room for error, simple to make and can be used throughout the year for other special occasions.
Add a little holiday spirit to your home!
Supplies:
- Plywood, poster board or chip board
- Chalkboard paint
- Ribbon of your choice
- Chalk, in the colour of your choice
Steps:
Trace the shape of two bowls, one making up the outer ring and one making up the centre ring onto the board that you will be using.
Use a jig saw to cut out the shape and then use the jig saw to cut out the centre. (If you are unsure of how to go about it why not go to Penny Pincher’s or Builders Warehouse and ask them to cut it out for you.)
Sand the boards down.
Paint them using the chalkboard paint. Depending on the type of board you are using you might need to add a extra few coats of paint.
Set outside to dry.
Once dry glue the ribbon in place for you to hang the wreath. If your wood is slightly heavier chose to staple the ribbon to the back instead.
Now for the fun part, decorate your wreath with various colours of chalk.
