Bergview Puppy School
Bergview Puppy School
Bergview Veterinary Clinic is happy to report that we are starting puppy classes.
The course Early Learning Development 101 will be headed by our registered veterinary nurse Melani Muller. This course is based on the knowledge of the acclaimed vet and behaviorist, Dr. Quixie Sonntag.
The age group is 8-20 weeks which is the most important time of a pup’s life. This is the time when they are exceptionally tolerant of new situations and experiences.
Missing this window of opportunity can lead to a lifetime of panic, nervousness and aggression for some dogs.
The Bergview puppy school is created to tackle the essential need for exposure and socialization in a clean, safe and supervised environment for your puppy.
What your puppy will learn:
- Socially acceptable behaviour towards people and dogs.
- Confidence in new situations.
- To sit, stay, heel, lie down, leave and recall.
- Mental stimulation by playing games.
- Body Awareness-which involves an obstacle course.
By achieving this, the puppy and owners relationship will be stronger. The owner’s knowledge will increase by a better understanding of how puppies think and what they need.
Please contact Bergview Veterinary Clinic at 028 312 1390 to sign up and get course times. The course runs 6 weeks. The first 5 puppies to register will get this course for free!!! We will offer this course for free for any HAWS puppies adopted.
