Zero Gravity | Bradly Stephenson
Born and bred in Johannesburg, Bradly Stephenson owner of Zero Gravity in Hermanus could only dream of calling the seaside town home one day!
His folks moved here about 11 years ago and Bradly visited now and again. Eventually the commute started to bother him and on the spur of the moment he decided to pack up his things and move to Hermanus.
The beauty of the area and the people of Hermanus are two of many reasons why they chose to settle in Hermanus. Bradly also has a 4 year old son who loves the outdoors and all that the town has to offer for young families.
See what this local man had to say to us…
Describe yourself in 3 words
Spontaneous, respectful and a peoples person.
My three favourite things in the world are…
Spending quality time with my family, travelling and good food.
What made you decide to start up Zero Gravity here in Hermanus?
Zero Gravity has been around for 5 years and I bought it because I’m a gamer myself, and I just enjoy having a business were people come to buy items/products that are purely for enjoyment. People that come to Zero Gravity are excited to either play games in store or buy a game that will entertain them at home. It is a fun place to be with happy children playing games in store and the gamers chatting away about their favourite games.
If you are not in the shop what are you doing?
As a family we like exploring and finding interesting little places, we also enjoy camping and hiking.
The best art of owning Zero Gravity is?
Having excited kids interacting in the shop. Birthday parties are especially entertaining with all the kids competing with each other and having a great time.
It’s not really a motto but something that has stuck with me over time: “Life is short, break some rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and don’t ever regret anything that makes you smile!” ( Mark Twain)
Hermanus is…
A little slice of heaven on earth.
I love Hermanus in the…
In the spring, everything starts getting greener and flowers are everywhere. The numerous whales in the bay and the sun starts setting later. Anytime in Hermanus is great!
My favourite place in Hermanus is…why?

I wish I knew then what I do now about…
I wish I understood what life was really about when I was a lot younger. I now realise that time is the most valuable thing to have. Time cannot be owned, but you can spend it, it cannot be kept, it can be used..When you spend time try and do it by doing the things you are passionate about or with the people that you love.
My best memories are…
Too many to just name one, but I do look forward to many good ones to come.
