Register for 2018 L2L Walk
Want to take part in the next Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse Ladies Challenge? Here is all the information you need:
Due to a high demand for entries into the 2018 Walk, the L2L committee has decided that the registration process will take place via e-mail and not at the registration meeting.
The committee does not want to compel any interested walker in incurring additional costs to travel to Hermanus to attend the meeting at the risk of not gaining an entry.
Requests for an entry form can be sent to registration@lighthouse2lighthouse.co.za on the morning of 6 September. An entry form will be mailed to those requesting one.
One e-mail – one entry form – one walker – one deposit.
No group entries will be accepted.
This assists the registrar in controlling the number of entries.
The registration evening now serves as the meeting where every registered walker (who can attend), will view the presentations of the short-listed charities and vote for their charity of choice.
Registration fee for the 2018 Walk is R1 750 per walker (non-refundable).
The fee includes the following: Three nights’ accommodation at Die Dam Holiday resort, three breakfast and dinners provided by L2L Ladies Walk at Die Dam Holiday resort, transport from Hermanus by bus to and from Die Dam Holiday resort to each day’s start and stop points during the 4-day walk, a carry bag for first-time walkers, donation towards runner-up charity for the official practice walk and entry fees for national parks during 4-day walk.
Fundraising prerequisite per walker
Each registered walker commits to raising as much funds as possible towards realising the proposed project of the charity of choice. Each walker attending the charity selection meeting in September will be able to cast her vote for the charity she deems most worthy.
The L2L Ladies sets the target for the walkers each year.
The amount to strive for during the 2018 Walk is R500 000. Each walker is responsible for raising a minimum amount of R4 000 to contribute towards the set goal.
