Campus Principal’s Grand Ball to support NMMU’s brightest in George
The Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency, Oubaai, will set the scene for a glamorous and glittering event through which Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) aims to secure the potential and grow the futures of the university’s brightest prospects at the George Campus.
The inaugural “Grand Ball” scheduled for the evening of Saturday, 5 April 2014 is an ambitious project of NMMU George Campus Principal, Prof. Quinton Johnson, to start a bursary fund for financially needy students of outstanding academic merit who have chosen to pursue their studies at this unique campus in the southern Cape.
“If you share our empowering vision for our students and wish to invest in their and our futures, you are invited to join the Campus Principal, NMMU management and friends for a relaxing and enchanting evening of fine dining, entertainment and dance”, says Alet van Tonder, NMMU George Campus marketing and corporate relations manager.
Dare to try the foxtrot or the waltz, or everything in-between, or simply relax in the company of like-minded individuals who understand that an excellent education is, indeed, the single most powerful tool to change the world.
