The Lion Park, East London

A visit to the Lion Park is a great day out for all the family and an opportunity to see Africa’s predators at close range. All to be found at no more than 5 minutes drive from East London.

Predators include Lions, rare White Lions,  Cheetahs, Ocelots. Other animals that can be seen, (and some fed and petted) include Antelope, Lemurs, Rock Monitors, Alpacas, Meerkats, miniature horses and donkeys.  They also have various breeds of monkeys including Capuchins, Spider Monkeys, Squirrel Monkeys and Mangabey Babbons.

There are braai facilities, a small coffee shop, children’s playground and ‘touch farm’.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 17:00 (last admissions at 16:00) during school terms and daily during school holidays (with the exception of Christmas). Lion feeding time is 12:30 on a Sunday.

Getting there: Take the N6 out of East London towards Stutterheim. The Lion Park is situated a few kms along the N6 on the right.
