Inkwenkwezi is a world-class private game reserve on the Wild Coast that offers unrivaled Big Five game-viewing opportunities in this breathtaking part of the Eastern Cape. The reserve incorporates five different vegetation biomes, and this diversity of the landscape makes wildlife viewing unparalleled with any reserve on the Wild Coast.
Famously, the reserve is home to a pride of White Lions. The lions have a special place here, with the parents having been hand-reared by the reserve’s owners. Currently, they are hand-rearing six new white lion cubs, which were brought in from another reserve, in order to strengthen the gene pool of the lions within the reserve.
However, the lions are only one of the plentiful species of magnificent African wildlife found here. The reserve offers daily game drives for visitors to enjoy a chance to view the spectacular wildlife. For those wanting a truly personal encounter with one of Africa’s most majestic creatures, visit the Elephant Sanctuary, where you can touch, smell, feed and talk to the elephants.

Getting there: From East London take the N2 highway to Mthatha (Umtata). Approximately 25km out of East London, watch for the signpost to Inkwenkwezi/Cintsa, turn right there and 8km along you will find the entrance to Inkwenkwezi on the right hand side.
