Cambridge Rugby Club’s 90th Birthday Bash (1)
Cambridge Rugby Club, founded in 1923, got to celebrate their 90th Birthday over the weekend of 26th April 2013. It was an eventful weekend, starting with a golf day at the East London Golf Course on the Friday, followed by a cheese and wine evening which was attended by around 100 people.
Saturday was the main event and morning activities included some children playing Rugby, coached by Bobby from ‘Rugga Kids’. In the early afternoon the Cambridge ‘Krocks’ had a match against the ‘Knights’, then the Cambridge ‘Legends’ played an exciting first game for the season, with Cambridge winning 29-11.
We ended the festivities off with a beer tent that evening which was great fun for all. We were delighted to have live music from ‘The Fezz’ and it was a wonderful way to end the weekend.
Big thanks go out to all the members of the committee and to Euguene DuPlessis for the photographs. If anyone would like any of the weekends photographs, please contact Euguene on 082 562 8238.
