The Durban Natural Science Museum
The Durban Natural Science Museum is ideal for learning about the earth and its history. There are many lifelike displays of animals that are accompanied by detailed information. You can learn about human origins and stone age people with samples of tools used by these people on display. A room is dedicated to paleontology – the study of prehistoric life – with graphic displays enhancing the literature.
Times
The museum is open Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 4pm and Sunday & Public Holidays 11am to 4pm. The museum is closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday.

You can find the Durban Natural Science Museum on the 1st floor of the City Hall building, enter at the Library entrance in Anton Lembede Street (formerly Smith Street).
