Who are we
Toastmasters International is worldwide organisation that helps men and women learn the art of speaking, listening, and thinking – vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
What we do
We meet every month in a friendly relaxed environment. As a member, you practice and improve your skills by following the assignments in the manuals. You have the opportunity to practice your skills in a wide variety of roles: as a meeting participant, as a speaker, as a club officer, and as a leader at some of the different levels necessary for an international organization of millions of members.
Where do we meet
Club De Vie at Le Domaine in Hillcrest. Dinner will cost visitors about R50,00.
When do we meet
The first Thursday of each month from 18h30 -21h30 (Visitors are always welcome to attend a few meeting before they decide to become members).
Why you should attend
Toastmasters offers a terrific opportunity to improve both your speaking skills and your confidence in dealing with a variety of situations. Toastmasters gives you the opportunity to learn how to speak in public in a mutually supportive atmosphere in which you will develop confidence and assertiveness.
