Victoria Street Market Durban
Geg was taken on a guided tour by one of the owners of the Victoria Street market in Durban. He was fortune to be taken through the whole market as well as the Fish Market. “It was an amazing experience, full of colorful merchandise and people”.
At the market you will find typically Eastern and African products that included everything from: tobacco, spices, sculpture, beads, curios, brass and sweets but to mention a few. Greg said he went on a quiet day and apart from a few European tourists this allowed him to spent time with some of the shop owners.
“It was a real eye-opening experience; and as a Durbanite I would never have considered going to Victoria Street market, however I’m very glad that I did. I’m now looking forward to my next visit.”
