Halloween at Crocworld
Venue: Crocworld Conservation Centre
Dates: 29/10/2016 to 29/10/2016
Times: 15:00
For the first time ever Crocworld Conservation Centre near Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast will be open after dark hosting its first ever Halloween celebration presented by Sign it @ Syms on Saturday night, 29th October 2016.
“The night event presented by Sign it @ Syms promises to be the most thrilling, exciting and fun Halloween experience,” said Martin Rodrigues, the manager for Crocworld Conservation Centre.
The event will kick off at 15h00, with a free pop-up family market in the Centre’s parking area, where there will be a variety of stalls including clothing, delicious foods and fun kid’s entertainment.
Visitors are encouraged to dress up to embrace the spirit of Halloween. The three best-dressed participants stand a chance to win free annual passes to Crocworld Conservation Centre.
Rodrigues emphasized, “This is the first time in the history of Crocworld that we have ever hosted a night event. It will most definitely be a most memorable experience especially since some of our resident creatures can be pretty scary even in broad daylight!”
He added that there was great excitement amongst the staff, as they would have the opportunity to take the public on night tours where they would be able to view the park’s nocturnal creatures including the owls and crocodiles. He encouraged kids to bring a torch along so they could easily spot those animals.
Halloween activities inside the Centre will take place between 17h30 and 21h30, with hourly night tours. There will be “trick or treat” stations inside the park for the children, as well as designated “scare zones” for the brave-hearted.
For those engrossed with the Pokémon phenomenon, Crocworld will provide a perfectly safe environment to go in search of those elusive virtual creatures. There will be a Pokémon Go Night Hunt with lures set every thirty minutes.
“Crocworld is a Pokémon hotspot and in an effort to uplift the Scottburgh and South Coast community, we will have full security for everyone, including Pokémon gamers to play in a safe and secure area,” said Rodrigues. He highlighted the fact that this is a family event, where people can celebrate Halloween in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Halloween party-goers can fill up their bellies with great cuisine from the Centre’s Le Rendez Vous Restaurant or from the market’s various food stalls.
