1. Location
Cape Town International Airport is situated just outside of the city centre. The N2 highway is the main link between the airport and the city. The airport is about 20 kms from the city centre and takes more or less 30 minutes to get there depending on traffic.

2. Transport and Parking
Cape Town International Airport parking is safe and secure.
- General Parking Area: 1424 parking bays
- Multi-storey Parking Area [near Domestic Terminal]: 1748 parking bays
- New Parkade [near International Terminal]: 4000 parking bays
The airport offers a variety of car hire services as well as shuttles, taxis/cabs or the popular MyCiti bus system which will take you right into the city centre to the Civic Centre.

3. Checking in
Check-in desks are loacted in the central terminal building clearly sign-posted. There are 120 check-in counters and 20 self-service check-ins.
- Departures are located on the upper level
- Arrivals are located on the lower level
4. Shops and Food
The airport holds a variety of retail outlets selling anything from groceries and clothing to books and souvenirs. There is a couple of fast food and take-away cafes on the lower floors, while the restaurants are located on the upper level.
