Surf Schools in Cape Town
Whether you’re a beginner surfer, intermediate or advanced surfer, Cape Town offers a multitude of best surf spots and a variety of Surf Schools with the combination of amazing beaches and world class surfing instructors.
Surf Schools constantly need to adapt to the weather as the wind and the waves are what make a surfing lesson work out or not.
Some of the most popular surfing spots in Cape Town include Big Bay near Table View, Muizenberg beach and Surfers Corner on the False Bay coast in Cape Town.
Different Surf Schools offer different packages that contain Half day, Full day or even 4×2 hour lessons. Every instructor however will give their best in the time they spend with you to get you from (as Downhill Adventures say)… “Surfing Zero to Wave Riding Hero”.
Learn techniques to get you standing and surfing at the end of the day. Listen to secrets and tips from the pro’s on how to paddle out, control your body and how to read the ocean & time for the perfect wave.
Stoked School of Surf offer 2 hour group lessons with everything included at R390 per person, but should you make use of your own transport, the cost is reduced to R280 per person. Private 2-hour lessons are also available starting at R600 per person which could be extended to four 2-hour sessions which also then influences the cost.
On the other hand Downhill Adventures offer a Half day package from 10h00 to 14h00 at R595 and a Full day package from 10h00 to 17h00 at R750. These prices include equipment such as the board and the wetsuit, expert instruction, transport and Lunch for those who optioned for the Full day.
If surfing has always been a desire, a dream or perhaps just a fascination that has kept you wondering in amusement, maybe even awe… decide for once to dive into the deep end and give this adventure sport a try. Who knows? This might just turn out to become a hidden passion that has been discovered and it would all be thanks to one of Cape Town’s top Surfing Schools.
