Break your snooze button addiction
The universal truth is that no-one jumps up in excitement to the sound of their alarm clock going off. Unless your alarm is there to wake you up and call you into the kitchen for freshly baked croissants. Other than that, the alarm clock is known for being a pesky chihuahua that takes a run at your ankles. No matter how much you try to dodge and jump, you can’t avoid the annoying bark and bite.
With this helpful guide, your alarm clock will no longer be your nemesis. You will be able to get out of bed and feel like your can conquer all your adult responsibilities of the day. The first step is to change the perception we have of our alarm clock, then the rest will follow.
Motivation is key
If you have an awesome job where your bosses aren’t supportive or you have to face the same mundane tasks everyday, then there will definitely be a reason for you to put your head under your duvet cover sets. Generally, we would all love the get up and go to work, ready to seize the day. But that’s not how life works. It has its ups and downs. However, if you find a good reason to wake up every morning, you will find yourself more likely not to press the snooze button.
Make peaceful sleep become a habit
A well rested person is a less grouchy person. Get in enough sleep that will enable you to feel well rested for the day ahead. Not only will your body be in top shape, but your mind will also be able to process tasks quicker. Avoid a series binge until 2am. Go to bed on time and allow your body the rest it needs to recuperate.
Keep a consistent schedule
Busy lives and many things on our to-do lists have made us so embroiled in what we need to do that there isn’t enough time in the day. Start by effectively managing your time so that you can get to bed at the same time every night. Waking up every morning at 7am and then ending up rolling out of bed by noon over the weekend will do more damage to your sleep pattern than you are aware of. Keeping a consistent sleeping pattern will teach your body to wake up naturally without the use of pressing the snooze button.
