Design Indaba FilmFest and MusicFest 2015
Design Indaba FilmFest and MusicFest for 2015 is finally here; two of the best Cape Town events of the year.
While spreading the message of creative thinking, the Filmfest will showcase a selection of feature films and documentaries on creativity and design. The MusicFest will also include a series of world-class performances and a celebration of music as a form of art.

Like always, the FilmFest will be exploring all genres of creativity and this 10-day celebration will be held at the oldest independent cinema in Cape Town [take a look at The Labia Theatre here]. Many of the films and documentaries will also be premiered for the very first time on the African continent.

This year’s MusicFest listens to experimental electronica, rap, house, jazz, R&B and a capella with a line-up of artists like multimedia artist from Angola, Nástio Mosquito, Ghanaian rap artist M.anifest, Damon Albarn, Angel-Ho, experimental electronic band Original Swimming Party, multigenre singer-songwriter Nongoma as well as Cape Town-based producer and bass beatmaker RVWR.
There will also be performances by DJs Jumping Back Slash and Duce Duce, Honey B, DJ Zulu Funk, aka Yona Vilakazi, a collaboration between and the first live appearance of fine artist Amy Ayanda and musician Thor Rixon and Cape Town all-male band Sakawa Boys (to name a few).
