Concerts in the Park is a formally registered non-profit company that promotes musical events in community facilities at no cost.

Every year from November through March.

De Waal Park is situated in Gardens/Oranjezicht and is bordered by Camp St, Upper Orange St, Molteno Rd and the Molteno Reservoir.

Q: Are the concerts really for free?
Yes, the concerts won’t cost you anything. The only requirement is that you have a good time, be enthusiastic and applaud loudly.
Thousands enjoy these free concerts every year.
Q: Who pays for the concerts?
The concerts are sponsored, finances are donated and artists, sound and all whom make the concerts possible provide their services at a very low cost. Collections are also held at the concerts, which gives everyone the opportunity to donate and become part of the project.
Q: What happens to the collections?
All the donations from the public is given to the Friends of De Waal Park who’s responsible for maintenance, upgrading, refurbishing and general care of De Waal Park.

The live music shows range from jazz to rock to pop to classical genres.

Yes. There are public toilets that is maintained by the Friends of De Waal Park.

Yes. On the inside of the park as well as the streets that surround the park.
Q: Any Tips?
- Go early to get a good spot in the shade.
- Take a blanket, picnic basket and something to drink.
- Dogs don’t need to stay at home; De Waal Park is dog-friendly.
- If you are able, donate towards this project to ensure it comes back the following year.
