Ann’s Villa, ZuurbergAnn’s Villa offers self catering in Zuurberg, situated at the foot of the Zuurberg Pass.

An old national monument dating back to 1864, this charming establishment is one of the oldest country coaching inn’s in the Eastern Cape. Guests can unwind in a room dedicated to enjoying the peace and tranquility of this place. Enjoy a walk through the countryside and enjoy an evening game of snooker and games.

Zuurberg is host to the Blacksmith Museum where visitors can rediscover the duties of a blacksmith and the details on building of wheels. Hiking is a must for birders who will be enthralled by the 200 species of birds in the area. Discover how some of the flora can be used for medicinal purposes or make a day trip to the nearby game reserves where animal lovers will be in awe at the Big 5 and other mammals, alternatively, lay back with a good book or magazine and soak up the warm rays of the African sun.

2 Double bedrooms styled with a yesteryear ambience. One room has it’s own en-suite bathroom and the other a separate bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen can be used to prepare meals which can be enjoyed in the communal dining room. Although self catering, breakfast can be arranged at a nominal charge.

Directions: Take the N10 to Cradock. Pass Paterson, travel over the Olifantsnek Pass and turn left at the Ann’s Villa road sign. Travel along the R335 and at first crossroad turn left to Ann’s Villa (1km).
